The best radio station in the world…

I found KEXP while I was surfing the net looking for something to listen to at work. What attracted me to this station was the variety of music with minimum of interference by the DJ’s and no commercials. As an avid buyer of non-mainstream music I also found the on-line real-time play-list a boon. I can look back and find the name of the track, artist and label of any song I have heard.

KEXP, a non-profit organization with its broadcast license held by the University of Washington, relies on a growing level of support from individuals, businesses and foundations.

In addition to community contributions, KEXP has also received three years of investment from the Experience Music Project. This partnership will allow KEXP to build and expand its broadcast services, and by the end of 2005, KEXP will be self-sufficient.
